Wine Information

Presentation

When we talk about Raboso del Piave, we’re talking about a great Italian red wine, with a strong territorial identity that traces its origins to the Veneto region as far back as Roman times. Our Sangue del Diavolo Raboso del Piave is a structured wine with robust tannins and a pleasant acidity, tempered by velvety notes of cherry and ripe plum. It’s made with approximately 10% dried grapes and ages for at least 24 months in both barrels and barriques. On the nose, cherry and wild blackberry give way to cinnamon, tobacco, and violet. On the palate, the savory character, accompanied by a pleasant acidity and a good alcohol content, lends a long and pleasant aftertaste. Sangue del Diavolo is perfect for lovers of wines suitable for aging and pairs perfectly with meat dishes.

Pairings

Excellent with game and spicy dishes, or with aged cheeses. It can also be paired with tuna, both raw and seared. However, our recommendation is to pair Raboso del Piave DOC with braised pork cheek.
