Wine Information

Presentation

Lemoss represents the history of sparkling wine in Treviso, well before the Martinotti/Charmat method was first produced. Lemoss (from the Treviso dialect “le moss,” meaning “it’s moved”) is a sparkling wine refermented in the bottle, with no added sugar, produced with Glera grapes and selected yeasts. The production method is defined as ancestral and does not involve filtration. In fact, once fermentation is complete, the yeasts remain in suspension, settling at the bottom. This characteristic gives rise to the term “col fondo” or “sur lie” (on the lees) in French, which refers to wines produced in the same way. An intense aroma of bread crust and acacia blossoms with distinctive notes of apple, lemon, and grapefruit. A fresh, well-structured wine. Drink neat or slightly cloudy, as you prefer.
