Where agricultural tradition shapes the landscape.
The territory
In the heart of eastern Veneto, between the fertile lands of the Piave DOC area and the Prosecco Superiore hills, the identity of Ca’ di Rajo takes shape.
Agricultural history, biodiversity, and winemaking culture meet in this area. Together, they have helped shape the landscape through vine cultivation.
One example is Bellussera: an ancient vine training system, developed in the late 1800s. With this method, the vines grow up to four meters tall, arranged radially, creating a true agricultural architecture. Ca’ di Rajo boasts one of the largest areas in the world cultivated with this method.

Heritage to be preserved
Discovering the history of Bellussera is possible at Ca’ di Rajo: our tours and tastings always begin here.
First, in the vineyard, admiring the towering green rays of the vines. Then, in the cellar, to discover the production method. Finally, around a table for a guided tasting.

Bellussera was born as a response to the scourge of downy mildew and is a system widespread primarily in the Veneto region, which can only be managed by hand. Our 15-hectare vineyard is the largest Bellussera vineyard in the world. It is also incredibly long-lived, having been cultivated for over 70 years. The system is made with wooden posts approximately 4 meters high, connected by wires arranged in spokes. Each post supports four vines, raised approximately 2.5 meters from the ground. Permanent cordons grow from the vines and are trained upward, diagonally, forming the typical Bellussera spoke pattern.
What is Bellussera?
The native Venetian vines are the heart of Ca' di Rajo production
The protection of the native Piave vines
For us, the Piave is more than just a river. It’s a defining characteristic that we find in our wines made from native Veneto grape varieties. Here, the mineral-rich alluvial soils and the microclimate influenced by Adriatic breezes create ideal conditions for a distinctive viticulture, capable of expressing freshness, structure, and longevity.

RABOSO DOC AND MALANOTTE DEL PIAVE DOCG
Raboso is a native Veneto red grape with a thousand-year history. We have always chosen to enhance it and make it one of the key native wines in our collection. Raboso, in fact, is capable of producing distinctive, structured wines with great personality, including Malanotte del Piave DOCG.

The other great native Veneto grape variety: Glera.
The Prosecco DOC and Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG denominations

Alongside the Piave area, Ca’ di Rajo’s connection to the world of Prosecco completes its territorial mosaic. From the Prosecco DOC and Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG appellations, the Cecchetto family interprets one of Italy’s most iconic wines. They do so with their signature style, rooted in quality and origin.
Territory sustainability

We work in synergy with the territory and the natural resources available.
In the Piave lands, our winery is a place where technology and sustainability blend with the local winemaking tradition.
